MAJORCA
THE BEST HIDDEN BEACHES IN MAJORCA
The coastline of Mallorca offers hundreds of beautiful beaches and coves that are worth visiting. The trouble is, in summer many of them are very popular and are usually quite full.
If what you're looking for is a quiet beach in Mallorca that's not too crowded and where the most appealing features are an unspoilt countryside, crystal clear waters and a stunning ocean floor, then you're in the right place. As a beach hotel operator, today we would like to recommend four lovely hidden beaches in Majorca that are just waiting to be discovered:
Coll Baix
Located in Alcúdia, this is an unspoilt, coarse-sand beach flanked by towering cliffs that are often occupied by wild Mallorcan goats. The reason for its low occupancy is its access, which involves a 45-minute walk and a steep descent down a rocky path (more info).
Es Caragol
Undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Majorca, and rated by many as paradisiacal. This beach is located 1.5 km west of the Ses Salines lighthouse, which is accessible only on foot. This means low occupation on one of the best preserved and most beautiful beaches on the south coast of the island. The half-hour walk to the beach gives you ample opportunity to admire the beautiful views of the island of Cabrera (more info).
S'Arenalet d'Aubarca
S'Arenalet d'Aubarca, also known as s'Arenalet des Verger, is a pristine sandy beach in the municipality of Artà. This is one of the quietest beaches of Mallorca, as it is one of the least frequented. As part of the Península de Llevant Natural Park, the area boasts an optimum state of conservation.
Ses Covetes
This quiet beach in the municipality of Campos is located between Sa Ràpita and the popular Es Trenc beach. The name (small caves) comes from the nearby Talaiotic archaeological site consisting of a series of ancient burial caves and the beach is one of the places chosen by many Mallorcans to enjoy a quiet, crowd-free day of sun, sea and sand.
As you can see, some of these beaches are relatively hard to get to and, as unspoiled beaches, they offer very few services. If what you're looking for is a more family-oriented beach, don't miss our blog post on the best beaches in Mallorca to go with children.
